Abstract

The size of the Highgate Falls rubber dam is one section, 15-feet in diameter and 220-feet long, made of nylon re-enforced rubber it’s the largest inflatable rubber dam in North America. This dam is also one of the first in the world to have a pressurized hatchway allowing dam operators to walk inside.

The rubber dam was manufactured by Bridgestone in 1992 and it was installed at the facility in 1994.
